Welcome to Oahu, which can be described with a single word – abundance.
On no other island in the Hawaiian Archipelago can you find such an abundance of animals and plants as here. The amazing combination of the island’s oversaturation and the richness of wildlife. Oahu is the third largest (71 by 48 km) and most populous island in the archipelago. The population of the island, excluding tourists, exceeds 950 thousand people. Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii, is located in the south-eastern part of the island.
There are entertainments for every taste, museums, restaurants, and chic beaches. Next to Honolulu is the famous Waikiki Beach, which stretches along the southern coast of the island and can be called the capital and birthplace of surfers. Known for its beauty, Oahu is an ideal place to relax. One of the iconic attractions on the island is the Diamond Head, a crater of an extinct volcano thousands of years ago. To the west of Honolulu is the famous Pearl Harbor, where the US Navy is based.
By the way, Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, was born in Honolulu.
