Imagine that you take the most influential and important buildings from all over the world, reduce them and place them on a 26,000 m² site. This is exactly what Minimundus has been doing since 1958. The Miniature Park in Klagenfurt, Austria, is home to 150 models of popular buildings including the Eiffel Tower, White House and Kazan Cathedral. Perhaps the only place where a tourist can get around the world without leaving the park.
The cognitive and entertainment models are handled by a team of experts in modeling. Many works cost up to 500 000 € or even more. Ideas for new models usually come from tourists. On request, if possible, the facts and documentation for the actual building are collected and then the building is scaled to 1:25 and built from the same materials as the original. Several professional gardeners help to recreate the right environment for each model, allowing visitors to fully experience the structure and culture to which it belongs.
