The express is rushing through the Swiss Alps. The most important attraction on the Bernin Express route on the amazing railway track in Switzerland is the famous Langwasserviadukt (Landwasserviadukt) viaduct. It consists of 6 huge arches that form a curved railroad bridge between them. The viaduct is located between the Tiefencastel and Filisur stations. It is one of the main buildings of the Albula Railway, and since the summer of 2008 it has been a UNESCO heritage site. The bridge is 65 meters high and 136 meters long. And one of its ends rests on the Landvasser Tunnel, 216 meters long.
The route of the Bernin Express partially coincides with that of the Ice Express .If you compare them, they are almost identical. Only Bernina Express goes further to Italy, and the Ice Express goes further through Ruinaulta Gorge to the west, through Andermatt to Zermatt. In order to fully enjoy the nature, it is better to book panoramic carriages.
