Lake Blausee is located in the center of the natural park of the same name in the central part of Switzerland and its area of 0.65 hectares. It was formed 15 thousand years ago by a landslide. Huge boulders in the lake and in the park itself were brought by an ancient glacier. In 1885, Blausee received an award from a guidebook as “a jewel in the setting of forest seclusion”.
The best time to visit is in the golden autumn, when the surrounding leaves contrast so effectively with the blue water in the lake. In winter, Lake Blausee is also pre.
There is a hotel with a spa on the lake shore and an organic trout farm next door. Once an hour, the park offers a free boat ride on the lake with a clear bottom. In summer, films are shown outdoors on the big screen.
Legend has it that a young girl died in this area because of an undivided love. This girl’s broken-hearted eyes were incredibly blue and blue, just like Blause. It is believed that it was from the tears of a girl in love that a lake was formed. There is a place on the lake where a copper plate with the text of the legend is placed, and under water you can see the sculpture of the same girl.
