The rocky horizontal troll ridge on the Skegedal rock, which rises 350 m above Ringedalsvatn Lake, is one of the most beautiful and dangerous places in Norway. As soon as you see this rocky promontory above Ringedalsvatn Lake, you will definitely want to take a picture of it. It is located at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level.
For the sake of cherished photography and unique sensations you will have to climb 700 m and walk 12 km along a mountain path. In fact, it is not so easy. The whole hike will take about 5 hours in one direction. At the beginning of the trail, the first thing that catches your eye is a pile of shoes under the counter with a map of the area, it is a silent warning that you should take the selection of shoes for the trip very seriously. Until 2011, the funicular worked for climbing the mountain. The first part of the route is the most difficult, climbing is steep and uncomfortable, then the road is more gentle. Halfway there is an old house where you can spend the night if you want. An overnight stay can allow you to come to Trolltung at sunset and then at dawn. Then the scenery is illuminated with fantastic flowers and no one is left around.
