The illusion created with a giant mirror is in the Mori Art Museum, located in Tokyo, Japan, and specializes in contemporary art. Minoru Mori (1934-2012) is a building magnate and patron of arts. The design of the museum was developed by Gluckman Tang Architects, under the direction of Richard Gluckman, who also worked for museums such as the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Since October 2003, the museum has been open to visitors as an exhibition centre. Currently, the museum’s collections include paintings, sculpture, architecture, fashion and installations, mainly on contemporary art.
